Holy Shit

So, my mom just called me to tell me that I got Harry Potter in the mail today. This is very strange as I had an email from Barnes and Noble on Monday saying that they couldn't charge my credit card and to call them with another card within 72 hours or my order would be cancelled, yet the book arrived today. Of course, by then it had already been shipped since they sent them out early--they just couldn't deliver them until today. My dad told me that they had been warned over and over about those books (my dad is a letter carrier, for those of you who don't know). They were told several times not to deliver them until Saturday. Anyhow, I'm excited--I didn't think I'd be able to get the book for two weeks (when I get paid). Of course, I'm going to have trouble since I have the book and haven't paid for it. I don't know what's going to happen there. *shrug* I can't start it until I get home though :( My mom won't bring it to me, haha. She's busy with tomatoes.

I suppose I could sum up my week, or parts of it, at least.

Tuesday night after class told me she was going to Karaoke Night at Central. She asked if I wanted to go and I said I had stuff to do but then she said, "I buy you two beers", which is, of course, the magic words for most college students (FREE BEER). I had a really good time. I even sang! I'd never had the nerve to do it before. I looked through the book and saw a song I knew I could sing, so, I sang it. The song was "Memory" from Cats. It was funny, the guy thought when I wrote my name, "Cat!", that I had written "Cats" and he told me I had to put my name on there and I said "that is my name!". I got three beers that night. It was nice.

I don't think anything else particularly interesting has happened this week.

I had PFLAG this morning. We didn't have a speaker but we still talked the entire time. It was mostly a bitch session about the UU church here not wanting to do the Welcoming Congregation. I haven't been to the UU church in quite awhile; I think it's been about two years, maybe longer.

After the meeting we went to Semolina. My Third Saturday Mother bought me lunch :) (Sherry says I'm her daughter on the third Satuday, when we have our meetings).
